即將開始臨床學習的港大醫科四年級生羅啟信（John）同學，是2025年「創新科技獎學金」的得主。除了醫學，John自中學時期開始就對科學充滿興趣，尤其是物理，特别鍾情數學、力學相關的內容。因此，到三年級增潤學年（Enrichment Year），他決定到倫敦國王學院（King's College London）修讀醫療科技的碩士學位，鑽研人工智能和機器人學。

Last week marked the final celebration at Madam S. H. Ho Residence for Medical Students as we said goodbye to a place full of memories and growth. Located on Sassoon Road and situated near Queen Mary Hospital, the residence holds a special significance for HKUMed's medical students. Over more than 30 years, it has saved them valuable travel time, enhanced their learning efficiency and fostered a close-knit community of like-minded peers.

Researchers from the School of Biomedical Sciences have identified a protein in liver cancer that allows cancer cells to grow more aggressively and evade existing therapies. The team has also developed a compound to target this protein and suppress tumour growth.

吴逸冰的学术之路始于多伦多大学，那里她深入学习了分子生物学，奠定了扎实的理论基础。可在理论与现实之间，她始终怀有另一种渴望。她坦言：“我曾深深羡慕那些研究内容与疾病紧密相关的专业，总觉得他们能将书本上的知识真正应用于现实。”虽然对临床行医兴趣不大，但她认为生物医学研究是一条更适合自己的路径，也是一种实现理想的方式。
