Professor William Wong, Department Chairperson of HKU Family Medicine and Primary Care, was recently appointed as Danny D B Ho Professor in Family Medicine in recognition of his work in the field. He dismisses the view that family medicine is only about “cough and cold”. Instead, he says it is a specialty that requires doctors to embrace the unknown.

Students returning to Sassoon Road were celebrated for their achievements during this transformative year. Six students shared their experiences, from volunteering with Ukrainian refugees in Poland to completing a Master of Science in Infectious Diseases at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and conducting research at Queen Mary Hospital's Department of Surgery.
