Student Wellness & Engagement


In order to support and enhance students' academic and personal life during their studies, the Student Wellness & Engagement Team runs a range of activities and events throughout the year to:

  • Support students' transition into university life,
  • Assist students who may encounter academic or personal issues,
  • Support the general physical and mental welfare of students,
  • Develop students' potential and widen their horizons via extra-curricular activities and/or experiential learning,
  • Support medical students' career development by exposure to a range of career exploration opportunities prior to graduation.

How to find your Academic Advisers

First-year undergraduate students will be assigned to a Faculty Academic Adviser or a personal tutor. More details will be given to the first-year students during individual Faculty orientations.

Throughout their university studies, students can check who their Faculty Academic Advisers are via the SIS by the following procedures:

  1. Login to HKU Portal
  2. On “My Page”, click “Find your adviser” on the right-hand side
