The MBBS White Coat Ceremony is a significant milestone that marks the beginning of our medical students' journey into the medical profession. It symbolizes their commitment to lifelong learning, service, and the core values of medicine while connecting them to the esteemed legacy of HKUMed.
Starting in 2023, the ceremony also includes the Pin Presentation for MBBS (Distinguished MedScholar). Following the White Coat Ceremony, each MBBS (Distinguished MedScholar) student is presented with a special pin by the Dean of Medicine, recognizing and celebrating their perseverance, dedication, and academic excellence.
The MBBS (Distinguished MedScholar) track was introduced in the 2023-24 academic year to provide high-achieving students with additional learning resources and dedicated mentorship, empowering them to excel in their medical studies at HKU.
