Intranasal Drug Delivery of Nano-in-Micro Particles for Treatment of Neurological Disorders

Programme(s) to which this project applies:

☑ MPhil/PhD ☑ MRes[Med] ☑ URIS

This project aims at developing nasal powders containing nano-in-micro drug particles to combat neurological disorders. Specifically, the student(s) will be responsible to:

(i) Design and fabricate nano-in-micro particles enabling optimal nose-to-brain drug delivery;

(ii) Characterize the pharmaceutical properties of the nano-in-micro particles;

(iii) Evaluate the safety and efficacy of the nano-in-micro particles via a series of in vitro and/or in vivo studies

Students with interests in this project are encouraged to contact Professor Aviva Chow (asfchow@hku.hk) for more project details.
