Project Background
The CTAC will provide advanced clinical training facilities, student accomodations (i.e. a total number of 700 bed spaces), and support facilities for medical and nursing students.
Site selection and project information
Locating in the close proximity to the Queen Mary Hospital, the flagship teaching hospital in affliation with HKUMed and other academic buidlings, this project will make use of the existing Bayview Canteen and Madam SH Ho Residence (163 bed spaces) for re-provision of a total of 700 bed spaces. Clinical training facilities and student wellness amenities will also be offered.
The construction will be carried out starting end of 2025 and expected to complete by 4Q 2029. A new canteen is also expected to open by the time the project completes.

HKUMed is working closely with the Estates Office and the appointed Architectural & Associated Consultant, Andrew Lee King Fun & Associates Architects Limited, in planning and executing this project.
