In view of the news coverage today (August 17) on a purported collaboration between HKU and an Israel-based company, Dr Gene for pre-pregnancy DNA tests, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, HKU stressed that there has not been any collaboration agreement with the said company.

Any and all such potential collaborations with outside third parties will necessarily need to undergo established procedures.

The Faculty urges the company to clarify and remove the name of the HKU and/or the Faculty from all and any of the company’s publicity and/or promotion materials.
