The MBBS White Coat Ceremony for MBBS Year 1 students was held in the Grand Hall of the Centennial Campus. The Ceremony signifies the students' embarkment on their medical journey.
This year, we were pleased to have Professor Philip Li Hei as the Master of Ceremonies. Following the welcome address by Professor Chak-sing Lau, Dean of Medicine, over 300 new MBBS students had their white coat donned by the deanery and teachers, witnessed by their families, friends, School Principals and representatives of their alma maters. Following the introduction of the Declaration of Geneva by Professor Gilberto Leung Ka-kit, Associate Dean (Teaching & Learning), the students read the Declaration, led by Dean Lau. The event concluded with a photo session.
