Admission requirement
- MPhil: Bachelor's degree with Honours at Second Class Division I or above; OR Bachelor's degree with Honours at Second Class Division II and a taught Master's degree with Honours at Second Class Division I
- 3-year PhD: Bachelor's degree with Honours at Second Class Division I or above; AND Research Master's degree (MPhil equivalent); OR Bachelor's degree with Honours at Second Class Division II; AND thesis graded 'Outstanding' or 'Excellent' in HKU MPhil
- 4-year PhD: Bachelor's degree at First Class Honours; OR Bachelor's degree with Honours at Second Class Division I and a taught Master's degree with Honours at Second Class Division I; OR Bachelor's degree with Honours at Second Class Division II and a taught Master's degree with Distinction
