King's College London – The University of Hong Kong Catalyst Fund (“HKU-KCL Catalyst Fund”)


The King's College London – The University of Hong Kong Catalyst Fund (“HKU-KCL Catalyst Fund”) is a jointly developed and co-funded initiative between King's College London (King's), and the LKS Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Dentistry, at The University of Hong Kong (HKU). 

The primary purpose of the HKU-KCL Catalyst Fund is to catalyse early-stage collaborative activities that strengthen bilateral engagement between HKU and King's. Specifically, the Fund aims to: 

  • Support transformative science.
  • Initiate new or deepen existing academic collaborations between the two institutions. 
  • Support exploratory work that can develop into sustained, larger-scale research, educational, or capacity-building projects. 
  • Position project teams to successfully attract external or alternative sources of funding.
