On 7 April, HKUMed, in collaboration with the Home and Youth Affairs Bureau and the District Services and Community Care Teams, launched the 'Shape Your Healthy Life: 18 District Health Community Project' at Sai Ying Pun Community Hall. The event attracted over 250 participants and marked the first territory-wide outreach initiative jointly led by the three parties.
The year-long project will span all 18 districts, offering free health screenings, public seminars and community health education activities. The launch featured AI-powered optical coherence tomography (OCT) eye screening, showcasing innovation in preventive care. Over 80 students participated alongside healthcare professionals, gaining valuable exposure to community engagement.
