The Lower Limb Flap Reconstruction Cadaveric Workshop for Diabetic Wounds was held in the HKU Anatomy Lab. Directed by Dr Josephine Ip Wing-yuk, this intensive programme enabled orthopaedic fellows to practice advanced reconstructive techniques, including Reverse Sural, Gastrocnemius and Fibular flaps. The curriculum emphasised anatomical precision and blood supply preservation to enhance limb salvage outcomes for chronic diabetic wounds. Following the success of this fully subscribed event, the Department is committed to hosting this meeting annually to continue fostering international academic exchange and technical innovation.
