The 31st Medical Research Conference – Embracing the Era of AI and Precision Medicine, held in the Cheung Kung Hai Conference Centre on the HKUMed Campus, was a remarkable success, bringing together local and international experts to share their expertise and insights on AI and precision medicine. The theme highlighted the fusion of advanced technologies with medical practices and treatments, attracting over 250 attendees and 79 abstract submissions.

Distinguished speakers included Professor Perry Elliott, University College London; Professor Elizabeth Phillips, Vanderbilt University; Professor Hamish Scott, the University of Adelaide; Professor Walter Seto Wai-kay, Professor Zhang Qingpeng, Professor Gary Lau Kui-kai, Professor Sun Hongzhe and Professor Brian Chung, the University of Hong Kong; and Dr Bonaventure Ip, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Through engaging scientific sessions, oral and poster presentations and the distinguished Rosie Young Lecture on Innovations in Stroke and Medical Education, academics, researchers, students and other participants had the opportunity to foster interdisciplinary exchange and forge collaborations.
