The AO Spine Advanced Level Anatomical Specimen Course on Anterior Approaches to the Spine was designed for surgeons with 3 to 15 years of experience. The primary objective was to refine technical skills in minimally invasive anterior and lateral spinal accesses and motion-preserving surgery. Chairperson Dr Ma Chun Man led a distinguished regional faculty, including experts Professor Lin Cheng-li, Professor Wong Chung Chek and Professor Jason Cheung Pui-yin. Training progressed from case-based lectures on Day 1 to intensive hands-on specimen workshops on Day 2, covering cervical and lumbar disc replacement, alongside lateral access techniques.
