Originating over 30 years ago as the Genome Informatics Workshop in Japan, the GIW has evolved into a leading global forum for advances in bioinformatics, medical informatics and computational biology.
The conference featured keynote lectures, dynamic panel discussions, research talks and poster sessions highlighting innovative developments in areas such as cancer genomics, AI in biology and medicine, multi‑omics, systems biology and synthetic biology.
The event brought together researchers, students and global experts to explore the latest advances in bioinformatics, medical informatics and computational biology. The day before the main conference, the ISCB Student Council hosted the 4th Asian Student Council Symposium (ASCS2025), providing early‑career scientists with valuable opportunities for networking and knowledge exchange. Overall, ISCB‑Asia 2025 served as an impactful platform for fostering collaboration, sharing scientific innovations and advancing the future of computational biology.
