The Department of Surgery was honoured to welcome Dr Peter Wong Tung-shun, G.B.S., J.P., Chairman of the Council of the University of Hong Kong and Chairman of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, as the keynote speaker for the Digby Memorial Lecture.
In his inspiring lecture, titled ‘Reinforcing Hong Kong’s Internationalism’, Dr Wong explored the global economic landscape and the opportunities and challenges facing China today. Against a backdrop of rising fragmentation and evolving multilateralism, he shared strategic insights and practical recommendations for corporations, institutions and entrepreneurs to stay competitive and strengthen connectivity with regional and global partners.
