The symposium brought together 13 presenters from five esteemed universities: Fudan University, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, the University of Hong Kong, the University of Birmingham and the University of Glasgow. This hybrid event, hosted by the HKU School of Nursing and streamed online to reach a wider audience, provided an engaging platform for emerging scholars to showcase their innovative research and encouraged dynamic exchanges of ideas and collaboration. Special thanks to Professor Marcela Gonzalez Aguero, Chair of the U21 Health Sciences Nursing and Midwifery Group, and Professor Chia-Chin Lin, Director of the School of Nursing at the University of Hong Kong, for their valuable support. Outstanding presentations were recognised by a distinguished panel of adjudicators: Professor Hu Yan, from Fudan University, Professor Ping Guo, from the University of Birmingham, and Professor Daniel Fong, from the University of Hong Kong.
The symposium served as a platform for exchanging knowledge and as a celebration of academic excellence. Each postgraduate presented a focused and impactful three-minute presentation, using a single static PowerPoint slides to effectively convey the core of their research. In recognition of their exceptional contributions, four Outstanding Presentation Awards were presented.
