The Department of Surgery held a successful 11th Masterclass in Urological Laparoscopic Surgery & Dissection Workshop at the Surgical Skills Centre, Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong.
The prestigious one-day event featured invited lectures by Professor Tiago Oliveira, Head of the Urology Department at Hospital das Forças Armadas. The programme delivered a comprehensive curriculum, combining didactic lectures on advanced laparoscopic techniques with intensive hands-on dissection sessions. Participants gained practical experience in procedures such as laparoscopic ureteroureterostomy, psoas hitch, appendix interposition, augmentation cystoplasty and radical prostatectomy with ileal conduit.
Designed for practising urologists and trainees, the workshop provided a unique opportunity to refine surgical skills under expert guidance. The Department extends its sincere gratitude to all faculty and participants for their contributions to the success of this educational event.
