Xelerator Month of HKUMedXelerate 2025 ran from 28 October to 28 November, immediately after the announcement of the Top 10 Finalists. Funded by the HKUMed Tam Wing Fan Innovation Start-up Grant, the programme provided an intensive acceleration phase for HKUMed researchers and shortlisted teams to advance their healthcare innovations towards commercialisation.
Activities included the ‘Compliance in Technology Transfer’ seminar on 31 October, a Jiangsu Industry Immersion Trip from 10 to 13 November, and a ‘Biotech Breakthroughs’ seminar on 20 November, which addressed commercialisation and investment. Over the month, the teams refined their positioning in preparation for the Final Pitching event. These events also welcomed students and researchers to cultivate the next generation of biomedical leaders.
