The State Key Laboratory of Liver Research (SKLLR) Symposium has been a signature annual event of SKLLR since 2011. The event was co-organised with the Theme-based Research Scheme (TRS) on Liver Cancer (T12-716/22R) and was held at the JW Marriott Hong Kong. More than 150 delegates attended physically, comprising scientists, clinicians, medical personnel, academics and research postgraduate students.
Professor Masatoshi Kudo, from the Kindai University Faculty of Medicine in Japan, and Professor André Boonstra, from Erasmus MC – University Medical Center in The Netherlands, were invited as the keynote speakers of the symposium to share their cutting-edge research and new clinical developments on liver diseases. In addition, Professor Yu Jun, from CUHK, Professor Terence Lee, from PolyU, and Principal Investigators and Associate Members of the SHLLR presented their most recent significant research findings, in both clinical and basic science. The audience found the symposium stimulating and fulfilling.
