Co-organised by Programme for Appropriate Technology in Health (PATH) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute (HKJCGHI), the online seminar, titled ‘The New Generation of Malaria Rapid Diagnostic Tests (mRDT)’, was held via Zoom, gathering more than 50 global experts and leading Chinese manufacturers. The event explored innovations in malaria diagnostics, market-access strategies, WHO prequalification pathways and key market needs, facilitating active engagement among participants. The seminar encouraged companies and institutions to leverage their expertise, pursue opportunities in low- and middle-income countries, and collaborate to deliver high quality, affordable and innovative products to international markets — advancing global malaria elimination and promoting health equity.
