The Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute (HKJCGHI) Plaque Unveiling Ceremony and Guided Laboratory Tour

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Global Health Institute (HKJCGHI) hosted a plaque unveiling ceremony and a laboratory tour at the HKUMed campus to mark the launch of the HKJCGHI Headquarters and the opening of a joint laboratory established with the University of Cambridge (Cambridge). Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the joint laboratory will focus on characterising immune responses to vaccines developed by the Institute, while also supporting broader research initiatives in vaccine innovation and development.

The commemorative plaque-unveiling ceremony was officiated by distinguished guests, including Dr Ronald Lam Man-kin, Director of Health of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China; Dr Henry Chan Hin-lee, Steward of The Hong Kong Jockey Club; Professor Xiang Zhang, President and Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hong Kong (HKU); and Mr Wong Yan-lung, Deputy Chairman of the Friends of Cambridge University in Hong Kong.  Also joining the celebration were Senior representatives from HKU, Cambridge and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI).
