In this seminar, Professor Rachael Mulheron KC (Hon) FBA explored the principles governing the application of the illegality defence to negligence and the implications of the recent decision of the UK Supreme Court in Lewis-Ranwell v G4S Health Services (UK) Ltd [2026] UKSC 2 for both UK and Hong Kong jurisprudence. Professor Craig Purshouse, from the University of Hong Kong, was the chair of the seminar.
