The aim of the forum was to provide international certification training on the minimally invasive Superior Transverse Atraumatic Reconstruction (STAR) approach for primary and complex revision hip arthroplasty. The programme was designed specifically for local experienced orthopaedic surgeons with an interest in minimally invasive techniques, though registered occupational and physical therapists were invited to attend the morning lecture session.
The event featured a distinguished faculty led by Course Chairperson Dr Thomas Leung Ka-chun, with international experts including Professor Eleftherios Tsiridis, from Greece, Dr Peter Sculco, from the US, and Dr Lincoln Liow, from Singapore.
