During HKU Innovation Week 2025, the Interdisciplinary Healthcare Research Seminar brought together academics, clinicians, industry leaders and investors at the Mrs Chen Yang Foo Oi Telemedicine Centre.
Organised by the HKUMed Technology Transfer Unit and conducted in Putonghua, the seminar examined emerging opportunities in healthcare innovation across Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland. Suzhou Kowloon Hospital presented real world clinical cases, demonstrating how novel research is validated and deployed in practice.
Further sessions addressed the growing silver economy, spotlighting longevity technologies and safer living environments for older people. Discussions on pragmatic cross-border collaboration models highlighted how integrated research, and clinical and investment frameworks can accelerate real world healthcare impacts.
