Professor Yuen Kwok Yung, Henry Fok Professor in Infectious Diseases and Chair of Infectious Diseases, in the Department of Microbiology, SClinMed, delivered a special lecture, titled 'How to Study in Preclinical Years: Personal Experience', to MBBS freshmen on 2 September 2025. Reflecting on his own medical journey, he shared the key habits and mindset that contributed to his success. He urged the students to master basic sciences, emphasising their crucial role in future clinical practice. His sincere advice resonated with the students, providing them with direction and motivation in their studies. The lecture also included a photo session and book signing for his memoir, My Life in in Medicine: A Hong Kong Journey.
