HKUMed co-hosted a talk titled 'Compassion in Medicine and Humanitarian Assistance' with the GX Foundation, a partner of its Enrichment Year programme. Mr Leung Chun-ying, Chairman of the GX Foundation and Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, shared insights as the keynote speaker. He emphasised the importance of on-ground presence for effective humanitarian work. Medical students also shared their inspiring experiences interning with the Foundation, highlighting how it broadened their perspectives on global public health and reinforced their commitment to compassionate care.
