On 22 October 2025, over 20 Executive Committee members and Past Presidents of HKUMAA gathered to celebrate the 95th birthday of their beloved Founding President, Professor Rosie Young Tse-tse (楊紫芝), with a fine dinner at the Library of The Hong Kong Club.
The two Vice-Presidents, Dr Flora Tsang (曾巧峯) and Dr Victor Yeung (楊協和), represented the Association in presenting a birthday card with messages from President Dr Libby Lee (李夏茵) and all attending participants, along with a mosaic photo collage and a flower pot to Professor Young.
The event reached a memorable climax when the birthday baked Alaska cake was lit, and participants sent their birthday wishes to Professor Young. Participants not only enjoyed a sumptuous dinner and delightful conversations but were also reminded of Professor Young's enduring belief that 'patients' needs must always come first', emphasising medical professionals should extend empathy and patience to their patients.
