HKUMed was awarded 61 projects, totalling HK$73.4M in the General Research Fund (GRF) / Early Career Scheme (ECS) 2025/26 exercise from the Research Grants Council (RGC): 55 GRF awards and six ECS awards. The six young scholars awarded grants under the ECS are Professor Matrix Fung Man-him (馮文謙) (Surgery, SClinMed), Professor Huang Jianpan (黄建攀) (Diagnostic Radiology, SClinMed), and Professors Kim Jung (金鼎), Liang Shikang (梁世康), Wang Shoutang (王守堂) and Zhou Keda (周鈳達) (Biomedical Sciences).
