On the eve of the Lunar New Year, HKUMed hosted its first-ever Poon Choi Gathering at Loke Yew Hall, bringing together over 200 faculty members and students for a festive celebration. The unique culinary tradition saw enthusiastic participation from teachers, local students, and exchange students from Sweden. Everyone gathered around steaming pots of traditional poon choi, creating a warm and joyous atmosphere. Poon choi symbolises reunion, harmony and solidarity. This event not only provided a delicious feast, but also strengthened the bonds within the HKUMed community.
