Professor Jason Cheung Pui-yin (鍾培言) (Orthopaedics and Traumatology, SClinMed) and Professor Loey Mak Lung-yi (麥龍兒) (Medicine, SClinMed) were named 2024 Highly Ranked Scholars by ScholarGPS in their respective fields
Professor Derek Cheung Yee-tak (張懿德) (Nursing) was awarded the Fellowship through Distinction by the Faculty of Public Health, UK
Professor Aviva Chow Shing-fung (周聖峰), Dr Katrina Wong Si-nga (黃詩雅) and Fu Minqi (付敏琪) (Pharmacology and Pharmacy) received two awards from the PRIX EIFFEL International Invention & Innovation Contest 2024:
  • Platinum Medal Award by the French Federation of Inventors, French Association of Inventors ‘Europe France Inventeurs’, Haller Pro Invention Foundation; and
  • EUROINVENT Excellence in Innovation Award by the Romanian Inventors Forum
Professor Benjamin Ho Mu-hsing (何牧行) (Nursing) received the Oral Presentation Award at the International Conference ‘Triple Burdens of Diseases: Nurse-led Game Changer to Optimize Outcomes of Care’
Professor Ivan Hung Fan-ngai (孔繁毅) (Medicine, SClinMed) was elected Regional Adviser for Hong Kong to the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh
Professor Herbert Kwok Wang-chun (郭宏駿) (Medicine, SClinMed) was named Fellow of the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology and appointed Advisory Board Member by Advances in Therapy. His papers were also recognised as top cited articles in The Clinical Respiratory Journal and Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety
Professor Jojo Kwok Yan-yan (郭欣欣) (Nursing) received the Outstanding Optimization Mentor Award from the Society of Behavioral Medicine (Optimization of Behavioral and Biobehavioral Interventions Special Interest Group)
Professor David Lam Chi-leung (林志良) (Medicine, SClinMed) received the Asian Pacific Society of Respirology (APSR) Medal at the 28th Congress of APSR
Professor Lawrence Lau Chun-man (劉振民) (Orthopaedics & Traumatology, SClinMed) received the Best Surgical Technique/Case Report Award at the 44th SICOT Orthopaedic World Congress organised by The International Society of Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology

Professor Nancy Leung Hiu-lan (梁曉灡) (Public Health) was Elected Council Member of International Society for Influenza and other Respiratory Virus Diseases

Professor Leung Wai-keung (梁偉強) (Medicine, SClinMed) was Elected as Full Member of Academia Europaea, as a tribute to his contributions to the field of Gastroenterology and Hepatology
Professor Philip Li Hei (李曦) (Medicine, SClinMed) received Top Author Award for Most Citations from the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology: In Practice and the Best Presentation Award at the 73rd Annual Meeting of Japanese Society of Allergology, and was named Fellow of the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy & Clinical Immunology. Through his efforts, HKUMed has been designated as a World Allergy Organization (WAO) Centre of Excellence
Professor Becky Ma Mingyao (馬銘遥) (Medicine, SClinMed) received the 2024 KI-ISN Early Career Research Award for Clinical Science from the Kidney International (KI) & International Society of Nephrology (ISN) 
Professor Loey Mak Lung-yi (麥龍兒) (Medicine, SClinMed) was selected 2024 AOCO Rising Star for the SOMS International Conference on Obesity & Metabolism in conjunction with Asia-Oceania Conference on Obesity. She was also appointed Section Editor by the Clinical and Molecular Hepatology
Professor Michael Ni Yuxuan (倪宇軒) (Public Health) was appointed Editor of the Social Psychiatry and Psychiatric Epidemiology published by Springer Nature and Member of the Executive Committee of the Epidemiology and Public Health Section by World Psychiatric Association 
Professor Shen Jiangang (沈劍剛) (Chinese Medicine) received the International Award for Contribution to Chinese Medicine - The Second Class Achievement Award in Medical Science 2024 from the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies 
Professor Kathryn Tan Choon-beng (陳俊明) (Medicine, SClinMed) was appointed a Commissioner of The Lancet Commission on Tackling Cardiovascular Disease in the Asia Pacific Region 
Professor Zhang Teng (張騰) (Orthopaedics & Traumatology, SClinMed) received the Young Scholar Award from the Asia Pacific Biomedical Engineering Consortium

Samson Wong Ki-sum (王琦森) (Medical Ethics and Humanities Unit, SClinMed) received the newly established ‘Most Innovative Teacher of the Year’ in Asia award by Times Higher Education (THE) and was shortlisted as a finalist for the Nurturing Values and Ethics Award at the 2024 QS Reimagine Education Awards

Professor Lu Liwei (呂力為) (Pathology, SClinMed) received the First Prize in the Medical Science and Technology Award from the Chinese Medical Association

Professor William Wong Chi-wai (黃志威) (Family Medicine & Primary Care, SClinMed)'s Academician Workstation was officially established at Dali First People's Hospital in Yunnan Province 
Dr Chaiyaporn Kuwentrai (Biomedical Sciences) received a grant from the Research Fund for International Young Scientists 2024 by the National Natural Science Foundation of China for research
Professor Ryan Au Yeung Shiu-Lun (歐陽兆倫) (Public Health), Professor Daniel Ho Sai-yin (何世賢) (Public Health), and Professor Kelvin Wang Man-ping (王文炳) (Nursing) were appointed as co-opted member of the Information and Research Committee by the Hong Kong Council on Smoking and Health 
Professor Linda Chan (陳美珍) (Family Medicine and Primary Care, SClinMed/ Bau Institute of Medical and Health Sciences Education) and her team received the Best Research Award from the Hong Kong College of Family Physicians
Professor Jason Cheung Pui-yin (鍾培言) (Orthopaedics and Traumatology, SClinMed) received the Silver Medal of the 2024 Prize for Best Original Research by Young Fellows from the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine

Professor Polly Li Wai-chi (李惠慈) (Nursing) received the Best Poster Award from the Health Bureau at the Health Research Symposium 2024
