The student-led event was successfully held with the theme ‘Fusion for Fruition: Articulating Discoveries for Transformative Healthcare’. It provided a platform for students to present their research findings and exchange ideas with peers and faculty members. 164 students showcased their cutting-edge research projects through oral and poster presentations to over 300 participants, covering a wide range of topics, including but not limited to cancer research, neuroscience, and infectious diseases. The symposium featured keynote speeches from distinguished researchers Professor David A. Clifton (University of Oxford), Professor Mitinori Saitou (Kyoto University) and Professor Justine D. Mintern (The University of Melbourne). The event fostered a sense of camaraderie among the student community and highlighted the innovative research being conducted at HKUMed.
