HKU Alumni Day 2024 was held on the University's Foundation Day. The inaugural event welcomed more than 4,000 alumni and their families to explore HKU's new facilities and latest developments.
Live music on the main campus was performed by the following members of HKUMed:
- Medic Music Alliance, a band formed by current medical students
- Professor Sydney Tang Chi-wai (鄧智偉) of the Department of Medicine, School of Clinical Medicine
- Medipella, an acappella group formed by doctors
In addition to the musical showcase, Faculty members delivered two health seminars for alumni and guests. Professor Gary Lau Kui-kai （劉巨基）, Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine, SClinMed, delivered an informative lecture on stroke prevention and management. Professor Wendy Chan Wing-lok （陳穎樂）, Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Clinical Oncology, CancerMed, SClinMed, shared valuable insights on providing compassionate support to cancer patients beyond hospital walls through the SUPPORT+ application.
