In a continuous endeavour to support the professional growth of clinical professoriates and nurture young clinicians to excel as clinician-scientists, the School of Clinical Medicine partnered with the Faculty Early Academic Career Development Mentorship Scheme to host a special lecture featuring Professor Yuen Kwok-Yung, who shared his personal experiences and insights on effective strategies for success in clinical-scientific research.
During the lecture, Professor Yuen recounted his journey as a clinical microbiologist—starting with his choice to pursue an academic career, steering through purposeful research and impactful contributions, to establishing collaboration and leadership. His inspirational anecdotes offered attendees valuable perspectives and motivation to advance in their careers as clinician-scientists.
