The HKUMAA Band Show 2023 that took place at Grappas' Cellar on 17 June was a blast, drawing approximately 90 medical alumni, students and friends together for an enjoyable Saturday afternoon filled with great music and nice food!
The band show featured not only the soulful performance by Dr Kenneth Liu, and the amazing voice by Dr David Fang who sang with Dr Thomas Tsang's wonderful piano accompaniment, but also band performances including the alumni acapella group Medipella, the student band Medici Band, who rocked the stage with their energetic performance, and last but not least the alumni band Synapse, who created memorable experience that left the audience wanting more.
The HKUMAA President, Dr Matthew Tsui said at the welcoming remarks that it had been five years since the HKUMAA organised the last band show. He specially thanked Dr Victor Yeung and Dr Annabel Choy, Chairperson and Member of the Programme Subcommittee respectively, for organising the Band Show, and Dr Marco Ho, Member of Executive Committee, for being the MC of the event.
