HKUMAA organised a homecoming visit and a sports reunion for MBBS alumni, in particular Anniversary Classes 1978 to 2018, on September 9, 2018 (Sunday). More than 20 alumni and family members joined the homecoming visit and took a walk around the medical campus and its new facilities. The sports reunion followed immediately at Stanley Ho Sports Centre where nearly 40 alumni formed teams to take part in friendly football and basketball matches. Kicked off by Professor Paul Tam, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of HKU, Professor Gilberto Leung, Associate Dean (Teaching & Learning) of the Faculty and Office-Bearers of the Association, participants were divided into blue team and yellow team to take part in the football and basketball matches. The blue team beat the yellow team in the football match by 3:1 while the basketball matches ended with a 1:1 draw. Blessed by the weather, the event provided a great occasion for exercise, reunion and socialising among the alumni and their families. The participants' spirits were high and they enjoyed the game immensely.
