The Family Sports and Fun Fiesta, jointly organised by HKU Medical Alumni Association (HKUMAA) and Hong Kong West Cluster Sports Association (HKWCSA), brought alumni, staff and students a weekend filled with family fun and entertainment. The Fiesta is a signature event celebrating 130 Years of Medicine in Hong Kong and 80th Anniversary of Queen Mary Hospital. More than 500 alumni and families came together at the Stanley Ho Sports Centre on March 12, 2017 and share in the joy and fun of sports. Highlights include a friendly soccer match between the HKUMAA and HKWCSA, as well as a 4x100m invitation relay formed by members of the 2 co-organisers, Hong Kong Sanatorium & Hospital and 4 HKU student societies of the Medical Faculty. In addition to track and field competitions, alumni participated in family fun games and carnival booths. The event provided a great occasion for exercise, reunion and socializing among the alumni, staff and their families.
