Nearly 40 medical alumni and family members from MBBS Anniversary Classes 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 2001 and 2006 formed two teams to participate in a friendly football match organised by the HKUMAA at Stanley Ho Sports Centre on September 4, 2016. Team spirit was further lifted with players wearing the newly-designed HKUMAA jerseys and class representatives being awarded the captain badges. The match ended with a 1:1 draw between the blue and yellow teams. A penalty kick competition was organised to allowed alumni classes’ players of different ages to compete on the same ground. After three rounds of penalty kicks, Dr Cheung Tak-cheong (1991), Dr Kevin Foo (2006) and Dr She Wong-hoi (2006) became the winners of the penalty shoot-out. The event provided a great occasion for exercise, reunion and socializing among the alumni and their families. The participants’ spirits were high and they enjoyed the game immensely.
