21 April 2023

The LKS Faculty of Medicine, the University of Hong Kong (HKUMed) one of Asia's leading medical schools, is pleased to announce its upcoming alumni reunion and networking events in Melbourne and Sydney. These events are part of the "140 for 140" global recruitment initiatives, and we are grateful for the tremendous support of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney. This joint effort is aimed at bringing together alumni and friends of HKUMed who are currently living in Australia, as well as local healthcare professionals and biomedical scientists, to provide them with a unique opportunity to reconnect with their fellow alumni, network, and exchange ideas. With this initiative, HKUMed aims to strengthen its global recruitment efforts and support its esteemed alumni in their professional pursuits.

The events will be held at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto on 2 to 3 May 2023 and Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel on 4 to 5 May 2023, respectively. The delegation will be led by Professor Vivian Lin, Executive Associate Dean, and Dr Victoria Wong, Associate Dean (Clinical Affairs) of HKUMed.

During the events, Professor Lin and Dr Wong will share updates on the campaign's progress and how it will shape the future of HKUMed. They will also showcase the faculty's achievements and its vision of advancing healthcare through research, education, and clinical excellence. The events will provide a platform for HKUMed alumni to reconnect, network, and learn about the latest developments in the medical field.

The HKUMed alumni reunion and networking events are part of a larger recruitment drive aimed at attracting the best minds in medicine to join HKUMed. With a strong commitment to academic excellence and a reputation for producing world-class medical professionals, HKUMed is dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare in Asia and beyond.

The events are open to all HKUMed alumni and friends in Australia and those who may be interested in joining our faculty. It will provide a unique opportunity for qualified candidates to connect with HKUMed senior representatives and learn about potential career opportunities. We encourage qualified candidates who are interested in joining HKUMed's faculty to attend and engage in discussions with our representatives.
