The 15th International Conference on Osteogenesis Imperfecta was held in Hong Kong, marking the first time this prestigious triennial scientific meeting has been hosted in Asia. Led by Conference Chair Professor Michael To Kai-chun, from the University of Hong Kong, alongside a global faculty of experts, the event aimed to bring together clinical scientists, researchers, orthopaedic surgeons and paediatricians to share the latest advancements in basic science, translational research and clinical management of rare bone diseases. A significant achievement of this edition was its extensive global reach, having attracted 273 attendees from 44 countries and collected 203 abstracts for presentation, fostering a truly international exchange of knowledge. The programme also welcomed representatives from global patient advocacy groups to encourage a multidisciplinary approach to care. The event rundown began with a pre-conference patient group meeting on 28 October, followed by three days of intensive scientific sessions covering genetics, surgical innovation workshops and abstract presentations.
