We were delighted to welcome 60 secondary school students from both local and international schools to the four-day programme. The schedule was packed with interesting activities, including a problem-based learning session and a life sciences workshop. Our student ambassadors provided guided campus tours of the Sassoon Road and HKU main campus, sharing their campus life and personal experience with the participants.

We had the privilege of visiting Queen Mary Hospital, which provided the students with an overview of healthcare services provided by the Hospital Authority and an opportunity to experience the hospital environment firsthand. The students showed great enthusiasm about this one-of-a-kind clinical visit.

The participants also enjoyed a high table dinner, which provided a meaningful opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich traditions and culture of the University of Hong Kong. They gained insights from sharing by our programme leaders, student and alumni representatives, engaged in fruitful conversations and spent fun-filled moments with fellow participants. They also experienced hall life by staying in the student dormitory like many university students.

The programme concluded with hands-on clinical skills training in the laboratory, where the students practiced nursing techniques, interacted with simulators and explored virtual-reality tools.

Despite the program being condensed into three days due to severe weather conditions, it did not compromise the participants' experience.
