Jointly organised by HKUMed, Tsinghua University, and the Centre for Oncology and Immunology, the inaugural symposium, titled 'Innovations in Immune Regulation, Neuroimmune Mechanisms, and Clinical Interventions', convened top scientists and clinicians to explore the fascinating interplay between the nervous and immune systems and their impact on health and disease. Over 180 academic participants engaged with 18 presentations, covering topics like immune cell engineering, cancer immunology and emerging therapies, immune cell signalling and autoimmune regulation, neuroimmune interactions, and neurological disorders. Esteemed researchers from HKUMed and Tsinghua shared their latest discoveries, sparking vibrant discussions and laying the foundation for future collaboration. This symposium marks a significant milestone in strengthening HKUMed-Tsinghua academic ties.
