On 11 July, 2025, the '3rd 2025 Clinical Technology Seminar and Skills Training on Spinal Deformities', hosted by the Orthopaedic Spine Surgery Department of the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital, concluded successfully at the hospital's 'Chan Wong Chi Lan Hall'. As part of the series activities by Shenzhen's 'High-Level Medical Team' – the Spinal Lesion Treatment Team led by Professor Kenneth Cheung Man-chee from the University of Hong Kong, the event focused on cutting-edge spinal surgery technologies and doctors' professional development, drawing active participation from many medical staff and fostering a strong academic atmosphere.

Chaired by Professor Tao Huiren, the event began with introductions of guests and themes. Professor Cheung, the hospital's president and renowned spinal surgery expert, delivered an opening speech, highlighting the team's commitment to providing high-quality services for patients in the Greater Bay Area and beyond, with leading expertise in spinal deformity correction and minimally invasive techniques. Professor Wong Yat-wa, Honorary Clinical Professor at HKU's Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, emphasized the importance of academic exchanges.

Professor Li Weishi from Peking University Third Hospital gave an insightful talk on 'How to Be a Good Doctor', sharing wisdom on medical ethics, professionalism and humanistic care, which resonated deeply with attendees. The event underscored the hospital's dedication to clinical excellence, talent development and social responsibility in advancing spinal care.
