This multi-day training programme, led by Professor Henry Fu, Professor Peter Chiu and Professor Lewis Chan, offered participants, divided into four groups, targeted instruction in robotic-assisted orthopaedic procedures. The workshop began with Sawbone sessions at the Stryker APAC Training Centre, where participants practiced Mako Total Knee, Partial Knee and Total Hip Arthroplasty techniques under expert guidance. The core of the programme was the Cadaveric Workshops at HKUMed, which provided immersive, hands-on experience. The sessions included step-by-step demonstrations, dynamic balancing case discussions, segmentation and planning, and troubleshooting strategies. Participants engaged directly with cadaveric specimens to refine their surgical skills using robotic systems. Each group concluded with a discussion and course evaluation, reinforcing clinical insights and procedural confidence in robotic joint-replacement surgery.
