This inaugural conference, co-organised by Professor Stephanie Ma Kwai-Yee (HKU SBMS), Vivian Li (Francis Crick Institute) and Justin Lathia (Cleveland Clinic), explored the latest findings on the nature and roles of diverse cellular plasticity programmes in premalignant cancer progression, tumour evolution, metastasis and adaptation to therapy. This was a first-of-its-kind meeting and was also FASEB's first Science Research Conference to be held in China. The event featured a stellar lineup of speakers, including keynote speaker Dr Hans Clevers, Head of Pharma Research and Early Development at Roche.
