HKUMed hosted two heart-warming animal-assisted therapy events in February and March 2025. On Valentine's Day, Dean Professor Chak-sing Lau and faculty members brought their adorable pet dogs to campus, creating a joyful atmosphere through delightful interactions with students. On 11 March, the Faculty collaborated with the Asian Medical Students' Association Hong Kong (AMSAHK) to organise a ‘Paws a Moment: Therapy Dog Wellness Experience’. During the event, therapy dogs visited the campus and demonstrated the healing power of animal-assisted therapy through meaningful interactions with students. With their comforting hugs and unconditional affection, the lovable dogs melted hearts and provided much-needed emotional relief during the demanding academic term.
