The HKUMed Teddy Bear Hospital is a creative outreach initiative designed to introduce young children to the world of healthcare through imaginative play. Medical students took on the roles of young doctors, nurses, and scientists, setting up a fully simulated clinic for K2–K3 children. Each child brought their teddy bear as a ‘patient’ and participated in activities such as triage, health checks, X-rays, and mock surgeries. This engaging experience helps demystify medical settings, reduce anxiety, and promote early health literacy. It also fosters meaningful connections between future healthcare professionals and the community they will one day serve.
