The 28th Hong Kong Medical Forum (HKMF), themed 'Advancing Precision Medicine and Therapies', was a resounding success. The event took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. We were honoured to have Dr Ronald Lam, Director of Health of the HKSAR Government, as the Guest of Honor at the Opening Ceremony. This year's forum reached a new milestone by providing a simultaneous interpretation service, extending the reach of HKMF to the rest of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) for the first time.

The forum featured two named lectures: (1) Professor Kwok-Yung Yuen, Department of Microbiology, delivered the Richard Yu Lecture, titled 'Lessons from Past Outbreaks: Preparation for Next Pandemic'; and (2) Professor Man-Fung Yuen, delivered the David Todd Distinguished Lecture, titled 'Understanding of an Ancient Virus in the Modern Era'.

Over 30 other esteemed speakers from the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, the Netherlands, Australia, Mexico, Japan, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong brought diverse perspectives and shared their profound knowledge in precision medicine and therapies. Their presentations encompassed a wide range of topics, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience for all attendees.

The event attracted over 2,300 participants, including practitioners, physicians, clinicians, trainees, nurses, allied health professionals and medical students. The forum had 28 industry sponsors.
