A press conference in May 2024 introduced robot-assisted technology in spine surgery. Twenty robotic spine surgeries have been performed since 2023, and there are more to come. The surgeries were carried out by a team led by Professor Jason Cheung Pui-yin and Dr Kenny Kwan Yat-hong.
