It provided a platform for students to present their research findings and exchange ideas with peers and faculty members. There were a wide range of topics, including but not limited to cancer research, neuroscience, and infectious diseases. One hundred and twenty-eight students showcased their cutting-edge research projects through oral and poster presentations to over 200 participants. The symposium also included keynote speeches from distinguished researchers featuring Professor Christina Smolke (Stanford University), Professor Hala Zreiqat (The University of Sydney) and Professor Reinhard Faessler (Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry). The event fostered a sense of camaraderie among the student community and highlighted the innovative research being conducted at HKUMed.
